Runs for
One month of reading
Meet-ups
Just one: the Book Review at the end of the month
Commitment
Medium: show up for the review, being active in the whatsapp group is optional
Overview
One book, one month, one evening at the end where we review it.
Our most low-key format and the easiest way in: no season-long promise, no packed agenda, just a book + a night + a group to have real converstations with.
A new edition opens on the 1st of every month and close on the last. The books get announced upfront, so there’s always something to join, and always time to get hold of the book.
How it works
- On the 1st, a new group opens with “OPEN TO JOIN” in the title. It stays open for exactly one month.
- You join, get the book, and read at your own pace.
- Once the group closes, we kick off: who’s who, club rules, and we decide together whether the review is online or offline.
- You RSVP (and commit) to the date. Important as we will reserve you a seat!
- The Book Review will be helt in the 4th weeks of the read month. Afterwards the group turns “DONE”.
What to expect
The review runs about an hour: name stickers, a recap for everyone who didn’t finish, and questions that go further than “did you like it”. Optional drinks after!
But… Signing up means coming to the review. Check the month before you join: we’re a small group and we notice who’s missing as we’re all looking out to hear your view on the book!
Half-read is enough. Started it on the tram this morning is also enough.
A perfect fit for… Well, is this you?
You are…
